Guide 1
Stand Alone Lighting Control
The lighting control solution will accommodate DALI and switched luminaires as indicated on the drawings.
Each room, area or group of luminaires will work on a standalone basis with no requirement for a wider networked lighting control system.
Occupancy control will be in accordance with building regulations, allowing for a presence detector to be positioned every 40sqm. These areas will be programmed to operate in both presence and absence detection mode (where the lighting is automatically switched on and off).
Guide 2
Building Wide with DALI Emergency Testing
The lighting control solution will accommodate DALI or switched luminaires as indicated on the drawings. Emergency luminaires will also be supplied with DALI control gear to allow for central monitoring, testing and maintenance.
The lighting control solution must allow for flexible and unrestricted configuration of the space. Provide the ability through software for sections of a floor, complete floors or multiple floors to be assigned to a single tenant and/or sub-divided as required to allow for multiple tenants.

Guide 4
Single Floor Pluggable (Cat A)
The lighting control solution will consist of networked, pluggable LCM’s that will accommodate DALI or switched luminaires as indicated on the drawings. Luminaires shall connect via prefabricated leads – both power and DALI.
The proposed solution must operate without a central processor (Area controller) and should employ fully distributed intelligence, eliminating the risk of a single point of failure and ensuring controls resilience.
The LCM shall support local self-healing for all connected DALI devices, this shall also include those ports with more than one connected luminaire.
Guide 5
Single Floor Hard Wired (Cat A)
The lighting control solution will consist of networked DALI control modules that will accommodate DALI luminaires as indicated on the drawings. Control modules shall be installed in a DINrail enclosure.
Luminaires and the controllers shall be hardwired for both power and DALI.
The proposed solution must operate without a central processor (Area controller) and should employ fully distributed intelligence, eliminating the risk of a single point of failure and ensuring controls resilience.
Guide 6
Tenant Fit Out (CAT B)
During CAT B or fit out internal remodeling, room creation and partitioning often require more sophisticated control capability, meeting the aspirations of designers and clients and supporting additional feature lighting luminaires.
The lighting control solution shall provide extensive control capability while allowing for simple user interaction and operation. The system must be easily adapted, extended and modified.
