iLight Launch New Suite of Home Automation Products

iLight is poised to redefine total home automation with the launch of its latest products, the Mini LCD Touch Screen, the System Integrator Node and the Ethernet Gateway. The addition of these products to its iCAN range brings a totally integrated solution to the marketplace.

There are several lighting control touch screens on the market. However, many have limited use due to their size, cost or aesthetic design. The new Mini Touch Screen from iLight has a compact, high resolution, 3.5inch (89mm) screen and is so discreet and cost effective it can be used throughout the home. It fits in a standard 35mm deep double gang back box. The Mini Touch Screen offers a manageable solution to control a wide range of functions in an individual location or as a central control for multiple areas.

The Mini Touch Screen provides a virtually limitless flexibility of system configuration and control. The unit is completely software based and can be tailored to suit the needs of the user. Building plans, photos and 3D graphics can all be used to customise the display to meet individual tastes or themes.  Working closely with a client’s requirements the iLight team can create a bespoke, ergonomic and easy to use interface - no matter how simple or sophisticated the control system may be.

The ability to customise the screen in this way also makes the Mini Touch Screen ideal for corporate installations such as hotel rooms or conference suites where logo’s and branding styles may be programmed on to the display.

For the more cost constrained projects, the Mini Touch Screen and System Integrator Node allow complete home automation control from a single source, for marginal extra cost. The System Integrator Node facilitates communication with RS232 compatible devices allowing the Mini Touch Screen to control other systems such as AV, Multiroom Audio, Blinds and Heating from the touch of a button. Integration of systems in this way alleviates “wall acne” and enables the user to control exactly what they want from one, easy to use and compact panel. iLight has developed partnerships with all the main home system suppliers, sharing information to allow seamlessly integrated system control.

Finally, the new Ethernet Gateway from iLight takes lighting and total home control to a whole new level. The device engineers to control and configure the iLight system from a PC rather than connecting directly to the control network (via a LAN or Wireless network). On wireless networks engineers can now walk around a property as they program the system and see the effects immediately.

The Ethernet Gateway also facilitates connection to the internet. Where a firewall, ISP and Ethernet hub are installed the Gateway allows a remote connection for controlling, configuring and obtaining diagnostics of the control system without
